Oldest Pub in England, and other bits of St Albans

I’ve been quite busy over the last week. Work, mainly. No time to stop and smell the roses.

Today I tried to make up for that by visiting St Albans.

This is Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, the oldest pub in England:


This is a Victorian Mud Scraper, outside a building that I thought might be the vicarage of the Cathedral:
